I applied three coats to an outdoor ramp surfaced with marine ply. I would advise first applying skate seal to all the joins and gaps using a paintbrush. Then seal those joins with an exterior grade caulk before applying 2 -3 coats of skate seal using a roller. Make sure it doesn’t get any rain for at least a few days and if possible Don’t skate it for 7 days at which point it has fully cured. It’s very easy to apply and goes on without any issues whatsoever. My ramp is 20sq metres and the skate seal had coverage of approx 12sq mtrs per litre. It has a nice satin finish (not too slippery) and offers terrific water repellancy. It’s an awesome product.

Primo Ramp Finish

We have just completed our home build half pipe and finished it off with a protective layer of Skateseal. The finish is awesome! Really brings out the colours in the marine ply and leaves the surface smooth, grippy and siiiick to skate on. 4 litres gave us 3 full coats. (The first coat I diluted with about 250ml water to soak in then the next two coats were full strength.)
