Caring for your Mini Ramp

WA Skate Ramps owner Jonathan Koch discusses a couple of tips to care for and maintain your mini ramp and protect it from the elements.

Timber skateboard ramps require some basic occasional care and maintenance.

Our skateboard ramps are designed to endure years of skateboard abuse and will do so as long as they're properly cared for.

All outdoor ramps must be coated with SkateSeal.   Indoor ramps will also benefit from a coat of SkateSeal to maximize the life of the skate surfaces and provide a faster, harder wearing riding surface.

What is SkateSeal?

SkateSeal is an advanced premium quality water based coating specifically designed for use on skateboard ramps.

SkateSeal dries to form a tough and flexible film that's completely impervious to water, and capable of handling skateboard traffic while providing excellent feel under wheel.

It's easy to apply by brush, roller, or spray gun, and it's fast drying so multiple coats are possible in one day.

We also recommend investing in a good quality tarp that can be used to cover up your ramp during the excessive periods of rain and wet weather.

So there are a couple of tips on caring for and maintaining your ramp.

We hope you found this useful. If you have any questions, get in contact with us, we're always happy to help.

Until next time, keep on skating, do something awesome every day, and stay tuned for more.
